Chantel has worked in various positions in the faith-based space for over 20 years. She had the honor of serving on the Lakewood Church staff during its growth and transition to the former Compaq Center, where the Houston Rockets played. One of Chantel’s roles at Lakewood Church was as a volunteer coordinator for the Joel Osteen Ministries’ “Night of Hope” events held nationwide. Chantel also established and led the intercessory prayer team and was a part of the curriculum writing and teaching team for the PrayerLife casses.  

After Lakewood Church, Chantel transitioned to the non-profit sector, serving as director of operations and leading a team of 150+ volunteers for various fundraising events, conferences, and office administrative duties. She handled all accounts receivable for the organization and transitioned them to a cloud-based software program for fundraising and donor management. Chantel also served as the interim executive director during the organization’s transitional seasons. 

Her last role in the local church was at a multi-site church in Houston, where she served as their executive project manager for ministries. In that position, Chantel was responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the ministry departments.  She supervised a team of directors across five ministry areas and developed processes for implementing new initiatives.

Chantel joined the Vandebloemen team in 2018 to assist with establishing systems and processes for the firm.  She has led the operations department, where she was responsible for people and culture.  She streamlined processes and procedures and secured new financial and travel tracking software that brought efficiency and cost savings to the firm.  She led the marketing department providing leadership in developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans. Chantel also served on the leadership team providing strategic and operational direction for the firm. Since 2020 she has served on the executive search consulting team and has had the opportunity to work with faith-based organizations in the local church, Christian schools, and non-profit, and for-profit sectors, helping place qualified candidates in various positions while also providing consultation on staff culture,  succession planning, and DEI initiatives.  

For many years Chantel shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ in humanitarian and evangelistic work in Rwanda, Uganda, Angola, Belize, and Honduras. She has a heart for the broken, the unloved, and those that feel hopeless. In her free time, Chantel enjoys dancing; she is trained in several styles, including Cuban Salsa, Detroit Ballroom, bop, and chop. One of her favorite quotes is by William W. Purkey: “You’ve gotta dance like nobody’s watching, love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like nobody’s listening, and live like it’s heaven on earth.”
