Hill Country Bible Church Georgetown is an elder-led and non-denominational church located in Georgetown, Texas, known for its commitment to strong biblical teaching and discipleship throughout its 28 year history. With 2 campuses (the original campus in Georgetown and a vibrant Sun City Campus) the church offers a welcoming and grace-based community for individuals and families in all stages of life, with a focus on creating a safe and engaging environment for spiritual growth. Utilizing a team teaching approach in its services, the church strives to deliver challenging and theologically sound messages that encourage the congregation to apply biblical principles in their daily lives empowered by the Holy Spirit.

About the Senior Pastor

The Senior Pastor will provide visionary leadership to advance the Mission, Vision, and Values of Hill Country Bible Church Georgetown. He will serve as the permanent member of the Elder Board while leading and collaborating with the Executive and Teaching teams. He will lead to see life change and growing impact in the city and beyond.

The Senior Pastor responsibilities include:

• Pastoral leader of the church who preaches, trains and encourages the church.
• Committed to lay elder board governance
• Permanent member of the lay elder board (elder board may have up to 7 members; lay members serve 4-year rotation with optional 5^th year).  
• Provides vital input on strategic vision, ministry challenges and biblical guidance to the elders and executive staff during the decision making process.  
• With the Elders, prayerfully set the strategic direction for the staff and congregation to own and accomplish the Mission and Vision. 
• Leads the church to spiritual growth through insightful and accurate presentation and proclamation of God’s Word, stressing both the understanding and application of divine truths and principles
• Leads in local, national, and international partnerships that align with and advance the Mission and Vision
• Responsible for the leadership of the church, church staff and teaching.  Oversees and delegates to Executive, Associate and/or Teaching Pastor to accomplish his responsibilities.
• Oversees teaching ministry and serves as a member of the teaching team
• Equips the saints for the work of the ministry by modeling discipleship.

Education and experience

• A Bachelors Degree is required 
• A Masters Degree in Bible, Theology or Divinity (completed or in process) is preferred.
• 5+ years high level church leadership
• Proven experience teaching and effectively communicating biblical truths for life transformation
• Experience working with a multi-generational, family-oriented congregation
