Meet Pinelake Church:

Pinelake Church began with a big vision from a small group of people back in 1971. And God has done more than we could ask or imagine since then. From that simple trailer on the banks of the Barnett Reservoir, we’ve seen one life-changing story after another and incredible growth. We’re now a multisite church with five campuses across the state of Mississippi that reaches over 17,000 people each week.

The passion of our senior pastor, Chip Henderson, isn’t just seeing people come on Sunday. Instead, his heart is for a healthy and vibrant church. A place where people learn from Jesus, live in Jesus and lead others to Jesus as disciples. A place where the broken and unchurched can find life. A place where life change stories are ongoing.

Last year, over 904 people were baptized at Pinelake (including 415 at our outdoor baptism events), and our prayer is to see even more in the years ahead. In fact, we believe God is working to change every corner of our state—and we want to join Him in that work.

Pinelake’s campuses reach a wide range of ages and demographics. There are three diverse campuses spread out in the Jackson metro area, and we have campuses located near both Ole Miss and Mississippi State University. We’ve been blown away to see thousands of college students worship with us across multiple services on Wednesday nights. God is doing something incredible!

Today, our driving force is to “Be the Church” in the cities, colleges, and communities of our state—and beyond—by making disciples who Grow, Pray, Connect, and Share. We have a vision to see Mississippi changed from the Delta to the coast, from the backroads and bayous to the boardrooms and baseball stadiums. That’s because seeing lives changed never gets old.

About the Madison Campus Pastor:

The Madison Campus Pastor will perform as the spiritual and organizational point person for the Campus. He will execute the strategy, values, and vision of the Lead Team of Pinelake Church within the context of the local congregation. This will be done through a team-driven culture that values collaboration and participation with the Lead Team. He will act as shepherd for the congregation and oversee the staff. The pastor will ensure the vitality of community and discipleship connections.

The Madison Campus Pastor’s responsibilities include:

• Pastors the Madison Congregation.
• Responsible for oversight and development within:
  • Adult Groups
  • Preschool Ministries
  • Children’s Ministries
  • Student Ministries
  • Worship Ministry
  • Missions
  • Care Ministry
• Exemplifies and leads the staff in accordance with the Vision and mission of Pinelake Church and the Staff Values.
• Maintains a vital relationship and link with the Pinelake Church Leadership and the congregation.
• Oversight and accountability of campus budget.
• Stays abreast of all congregational trends; develops short-term and long-term visions and strategies to address any current/potential issues and meet growth needs.
• Identifies, plans, and executes local mission opportunities in coordination with the Pinelake One Church Missions Team.
• Upholds the Policies and Procedures of Pinelake Church.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree – Required
• Seminary and/or continued education – Preferred
• Experience with large multi-site is strongly preferred
• 10 plus years of experience of key pastoral leadership

General Responsibilities

• Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.
• Assists the Lead Team to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.
• As a part of the overall Madison staff team, participate in campus-wide ministry events and the shepherding of our Madison faith family.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and evaluating performance (with the support of the One Church Staff Team); rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and administering vacation/paid time off and other personnel procedures in conjunction with the Director of Operations, the Director of Human Resources, and all personnel policies and procedures.

Basic personal responsibilities:

• Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation, and practicing L3.
• Maintains proper priorities in his home, including his spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
• Faithfully supports the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to him.
• Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.
• Maintain active participation in the community.
• Maintains active participation in an adult group.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).
• Value the 7 H’s of our staff culture in your heart, home, and life (Humility, Honor, Honesty, Hunger, Holy Spirit, Health, and Harmony).
