Meet Lexington Christian Academy:

Founded in June 1989, Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) was born from a shared vision and a commitment to Christ-centered education. The Academy and The Lexington Christian School—each rooted in a deep dedication to academic excellence and spiritual growth—merged after months of thoughtful discussion and prayer. This union brought together The Academy’s kindergarten-6th grade program and The Lexington Christian School’s kindergarten-12th grade offerings, creating a unified, non-denominational Christian school serving students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

From the very beginning, LCA’s founders understood that a true education extends beyond textbooks and classrooms. They envisioned a dynamic learning environment that nurtures the whole child—spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, physically, and creatively. This holistic approach remains at the heart of LCA’s mission, guiding students to grow not just as scholars but as leaders grounded in faith.

Today, LCA stands as a vibrant community where academic rigor meets spiritual formation. Students are prepared to excel both in and out of the classroom—on athletic fields, on stage, in chapels and retreats, and through leadership initiatives and community outreach. By shaping minds, hearts, and bodies, LCA empowers students to impact the world for Jesus Christ. This is more than an education; it’s a transformative journey that equips the next generation to lead with wisdom, compassion, and purpose.

About the Head of School:

The Head of School at Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) serves as the chief executive officer, responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the fulfillment of LCA’s mission of Christ-centered education. As the sole direct report to the Board of Directors, the Head of School leads the entire organization, with all faculty, staff, and administrative functions rolling up through this position. This role is pivotal in maintaining the school’s spiritual foundation while driving academic excellence, institutional growth, and community engagement.

The Head of School provides visionary leadership to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), fostering a collaborative and mission-driven culture that supports both educational and operational excellence. This role encompasses oversight of curriculum development, student life, faculty effectiveness, and institutional advancement, ensuring alignment with LCA’s core values and strategic priorities.

A key responsibility of the Head of School is leading LCA’s fundraising and development efforts. This includes cultivating relationships with donors, alumni, and community stakeholders, as well as securing financial resources to support the school’s long-term sustainability and growth. The Head of School actively engages with parents, faculty, and the broader Christian community, serving as both an ambassador for LCA and a spiritual mentor who nurtures connections with local churches and faith-based organizations.

In addition to operational leadership, the Head of School ensures effective governance through regular communication with the Board of Directors, offering informed insights to support strategic decision-making. This role demands exceptional leadership, strong organizational and communication skills, and a deep commitment to fostering a Christ-centered environment where students thrive academically, spiritually, and personally.
