Meet Transformation Church
Transformation Church is a multiethnic, multigenerational, multi-site, mission-shapred community that believes the Church is not just a building, but a people committed to loving God completely, loving themselves correctly, and loving their neighbors compassionately. Transformation Church is passionate about partnering with God to bring heaven to earth, embracing His vision to unite people in living Upward, Inward, and Outward lives.
Transformation Church believes that the local Church reflects God’s heart where people of all nations, tribes, and backgrounds will worship God together as one body (Rev 7:9) and that the church exists not only to reflect God’s Kingdom on earth but to extend it- beginning in the South Charlotte area and beyond.
Transformation Church is one church currently meeting in two locations. The broadcast location is in Indian Land, SC and the second location is in Lake Wylie, SC. Transformation Church plans to continue planting additional locations locally as well as planting new churches throughout the US and internationally as God opens those doors.

About the Communications Director
The Communications Director develops, plans, and executes comprehensive communication and marketing strategies for Transformation Church, aligning with its vision and values. This role ensures consistent messaging, branding, and engagement across all platforms, while also developing and coordinating staff and servant leaders in delivering both internal and external communications. As a strategic leader, the Communications Director will advance Transformation Church’s mission and vision by building a highly effective communications team that utilizes leading-edge tools and strategies.

The Communications Director’s responsibilities include:
Modeling
- Responsible for upholding Transformation Church’s vision and values. The Communications Director should represent a growing personal relationship with Christ. The Communications Director strives to demonstrate integrity in words, relationships and actions.
- Committing to a personal discipleship to grow with God.
- Living out the 5 Characteristics of a Transformer: Worship, Connect, Serve, Connect and Give.
- Embodying the Culture and characteristics expected of Transformation Church staff.
Strategic Communication Planning
- Responsible for development and implementation of a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with Transformation Church’s vision and values.
- Collaborate with the communications team and other staff to identify and prioritize communication needs.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of communication strategies and adapt as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Transformation Church ministry teams and collaborate with a comprehensive calendar for projects, communication, and initiatives.
Managing Two-Way Communication Flow
- Responsible for creating an environment that provides two-way communication between the congregation and church leadership.
- Identifying and removing barriers that keep people from connecting.
- Evaluating messages and materials in the context of guest perspectives.
- Studying, learning and communicating new trends happening within our community.
- Uncovering audience needs and communicating next steps to help them meet them.
- Developing relationships with staff and ministry teams to develop communication strategies and tactics for new approaches.
- Staying in touch with audience and leadership team simultaneously and conveying clear messages to both.
Oversight and Execution of Communications and Marketing
- Creates seamless messages that produce simple ways to connect with the Transformation Church. The Communications Director is responsible for ensuring a consistent experience across all platforms:
Website
- Manage all aspects of Transformation Church’s related websites. Websites should display artistic and creative excellence and content is timely, current and appropriate.
- Evaluate and establish standards of scope, technology, distribution, promotion and operational efficiency for all web functions.
- Monitor success through an established set of analytics and metrics.
- Proactively work to make sure Transformation Church maintains an effective presence on the web including style/presence, search engines, new technology.
- Deliver excellence in timeliness, accuracy, design, layout and ease of use for print brochures, signage, surveys, direct mail, and custom media.
Digital Presence
- Manage social media presence for Transformation Church on all digital platforms.
- Manage on-going messaging and communication strategies.
Design
- Lead efforts to design all art and promotional materials related to church-wide activities with a high standard of creativity, excellence and engagement.
Video
- Oversee Film team and collaborate to produce creative and effective videos: concept, scripting, video shoots, editing and post-production.
- Strategize creative tactics to use film to promote and encourage engagement with the Transformation Church and our community, our nation and our world.
Brand Management
- Create and launch strategic marketing initiatives, analyze demographics, and optimize processes for tangible results while overseeing, developing, and maintaining TC’s brand.
- Create policy and procedures related to logo use and media relations.
- Oversee implementation of brand, logo and style guides.
Staff Supervision and Development
- Provides leadership to the communications team. The Communications Director will lead, evaluate and mentor communications staff and servant leaders. Includes the following responsibilities:
- Supervising the communications team in day-to-day operational activities.
- Oversee and equip graphic/art team that can assist in the creation of TC digital and print content.
- Discover, develop and deploy servant leaders to operate as a team in excellence.


What you bring

Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in communication, marketing, or public relations (church or nonprofit experience preferred). Experience with multisite churches is ideal.

- Digital Proficiency: Strong understanding of digital media trends and tools, including social media platforms, website management systems, and email marketing.
- Exceptional Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Emotional Intelligence: High level of emotional intelligence, enabling strong relationships and effective collaboration.
- Technical Skills (Preferred): Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing tools is a plus.
