Meet TMS Global
TMS Global sends people around the world to spread the love and message of Jesus. Since 1984, TMS Global has mobilized, trained, and served hundreds of cross-cultural witnesses. Currently, more than 140 workers serve in 39 countries around the world. Thousands of people have been introduced to Jesus and discipled in their faith.
In addition to the sending of cross-cultural witnesses, TMS Global is laser-focused on equipping and mobilizing the local church to engage in missions at home and around the world.
Advancing mission and vision
TMS Global needed a vice president of advancement to provide strategic oversight and direction to all the advancement, marketing and communications endeavors. Without this role filled, TMS Global lacked support in building their portfolio and leading their staff.
The VP of advancement would be trusted to serve on the executive leadership team to help develop the ministry’s goals and provide directional oversight. This person would also work closely with the CEO to foster positive relationships between the ministry and the public as well as advancing TMS Global’s mission and vision in the community.
A trustworthy resource
Our Senior Executive Search Consultant Jay Mitchell worked closely with the CEO at TMS Global to understand what type of person would fit into the culture and advance the ministry. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate would come in with significant work experience, be a people-person through and through, and have a personal connection to God’s word.
With all these qualifications and more in mind, Jay searched through our pool of candidates. He and the team at TMS Global quickly narrowed down the list to one—a candidate conveniently located in nearby Lawrenceville.
Kenda Hensbrough has vast experience as a director of various teams, and similar experience as a VP of development before joining TMS Global. Her combined experience has gained her strengths in stewardship, strategic planning, and marketing, making her a trustworthy resource for the team to look up to and be challenged toward their mission.
With Kenda already living within half an hour’s commute, she was able to transition quickly and smoothly onto the team at TMS Global.
