Meet Arma Dei Academy
Combining classical teaching principles and a biblical worldview, Arma Dei Academy trains students to pursue excellence in all things by embracing healthy struggle and hard work, and recognizing that growth comes through perseverance and challenge.
Students learn about God’s plan throughout history, as their commitment to Christ and understanding of life deepens. By graduation, the students demonstrate depth of character, thought, and intellect. The students at Arma Dei Academy are known for their love of learning and readiness to lead.
Not settling for less
The staff at Arma Dei Academy experienced a significant hurdle when their search for a new head of school began. They needed to place a unicorn candidate before the 2025-2026 school year.
The board of directors organized their vision for who their head of school would be — a spiritually mature leader, teachable team player, and skilled communicator. Working closely with the board, this person would serve as the spiritual and academic leader of the school.The staff had high hopes for their head of school; settling for less would undermine their mission to provide excellent Christian Education.
Eight strong candidates
Arma Dei Academy partnered with Vanderbloemen’s search team, accelerating their timeline and extending their reach. After thorough consultation, the search officially began. Executive Search Recruiter Ellie Mixon along with the consulting team sifted through applications, looking for emotional intelligence, someone who is personable and social who also has the business acumen to lead the school well.
They identified eight qualified candidates to present to Arma Dei Academy. That was enough to end the search—among them was their future head of school.
Next year’s plans fall into place
The board hired David Seibel, who was at the time head of school at a classical Christian academy in Indiana. With experience as a teacher and a doctorate in education, David Seibel will bring valuable skills and perspectives to the Arma Dei Academy team as their new head of school.
Interviewed and placed well in advance, David and the academy could rest easy knowing that next year’s plans had fallen into place. David, along with his wife and four children (ages three to nine), will move from Indiana to Colorado this summer to begin his new season of service and leadership at Arma Dei Academy.
