Meet Parkview Baptist School:
Parkview Baptist School’s Christ-centered, Pre-K- Grade 12 College Preparatory education equips students with the intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and emotional skills necessary for college, for life, and eternity. Our exceptional educational program is built on the four A’s: Abundant Life, Academics, Arts, and Athletics. Each day, our team of nurturing, dedicated faculty support and challenge our students to grow and mature into the individuals God created them to be.
For students desiring a rigorous college preparatory curriculum and a flexible schedule, Parkview also offers a Flex Program in Baton Rouge & St. Francisville (approximately 40 miles). Learning coaches monitor student progress daily, and our subject-area specialists facilitate students’ content mastery.

About the Superintendent:
The Superintendent of School is the chief administrator of the school, which is a ministry of Parkview Baptist Church, who is responsible for delivering a program of excellence, focused on the four A’s of Parkview Baptist School: Abundant Life, Academics, Arts, and Athletics. The Superintendent will oversee the implementation and enhancement of all educational programs, curriculum development, student services, and extracurricular activities while seeking first the kingdom of God.
They will collaborate with the Parkview Baptist Church Lead Pastor, Parkview Baptist School Board of Directors, faculty, staff, and stakeholders to ensure the school’s mission and goals are met. Additionally, the Superintendent will be responsible for budget management, staff supervision, leadership, and building positive relationships with the community.

The Superintendent’s Responsibilities Include:
Personal and spiritual leadership
Seeks to model Christ in attitude, speech, and actions.
Demonstrates continual growth in Biblical knowledge and in spiritual maturity.
Maintains a personal decorum that models professionalism, modesty, and proper taste.
Develops and maintains rapport with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a positive school environment.
Administrative leadership
Work with the leadership of Parkview Baptist Church to ensure theological and cultural alignment with the Church’s Statement of Faith and Core Values.
Establishes and implements administrative/management policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations of the school.
Ensures key leadership positions are strategically filled with qualified administrators.
Provides direct and appropriate supervisory guidance, support, and evaluation to all administrative personnel within the school.
Provides leadership direction to all school personnel to ensure that all programs comply with school policies as well as state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
Attends all Parkview Baptist School Board of Director’s meetings and select board committee meetings.
Maintains a high-level communication profile among the school, church, staff, faculty members, general public, and parents.
Ensures the continued development of spiritual and academic in-service growth for all faculty members.
Performs all duties in a manner that is consistent with established board policy. In the event of any policy deviation or knowledge of any potentially controversial issues within the school, obtains approval for said deviation or issue from the Parkview Baptist School Board of Directors.
Ensures that all human resources-based activities, including but not limited to, hiring of all school personnel, employee evaluation and other quality of performance issues, are performed in a fair and equitable manner that provides for the accomplishment of short and long-range objectives and is within the guidelines established by the Parkview Baptist School Board of Directors.
Fiscal management
Ensures all school finances are handled with integrity and proper accounting practices.
Ensures that school properties and assets are protected and well maintained.
Develops and proposes an annual budget to the Parkview Baptist School Board of Directors.
Implements the annual budget as approved by the Parkview Baptist School Board of Directors.
Serves as one of the primary signatories for all expense checks.
Prepares written monthly and special assignment reports as required by the Parkview Baptist School Board of Directors or on an as needed basis. This accountability includes the responsibility of writing an annual report detailing the school’s progress during the academic year.
Presents all fundraising activities to the Parkview Baptist School Board of Directors prior to their approval.
Educational leadership
Provides oversight and leadership in the overall educational performance of the school.
Ensures the curriculum and textbooks (physical or web-based) are properly evaluated, adopted, and implemented.
Maintains the active accreditation status(es) of the school.
Promotes the continued growth and improvement of extracurricular programs.
Ensures that all accreditation standards are met, including curriculum, teacher certification, and academic in-service growth.
Ensures the improvement of all academic programs consistent with a college preparatory school.
Develops short and long-range plans for the current and future development of the school.
Serves as the education consultant to the Parkview Baptist School Board of Directors by providing information and counsel with respect to all of the school’s education programs and procedures and making recommendations based on current trends in education in general and Christian education in particular.
Ensures that the school is well equipped and supplied to provide a quality educational environment.
Meeting responsibilities
Establishes healthy student enrollment through student recruitment and student retention plans.
Organizes and maintains a strong program for presenting the school to its constituents and the greater community.
Maintains an active relationship with the Christian School organizations at state, regional and national levels and works closely with Parkview Baptist Church and any other sponsoring church.
Oversees all final marketing for the school, including all production and promotional materials.
Organizational and fund development
Develops a comprehensive plan to achieve development goals that are aligned with the mission of the school and church.
Builds and maintains proper relationships and boundaries with donors through professional communication regarding the impact(s) of their contribution(s).
Identifies potential grant opportunities and works with targeted individuals to craft compelling grant proposals to aid in securing funding.
Provides detailed and transparent tracking regarding outside revenue that is received through either grants or donations.
Other responsibilities
Must become a member of Parkview Baptist Church.
Analyzes and develops plans to address facility needs.
Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external stakeholders. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional manner to develop cooperative relationships and to ensure that stakeholder confidentiality is assured.
Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance, e.g., expense management. Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service.
Performs other services as required.

Education & Experience
Master’s Degree in Supervision and Administration, Educational Leadership, Higher Education, Education, Organizational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or Equivalent
Undergraduate Degree in education or equivalent
Must meet all requirements established by the Louisiana State Board of Education.
Minimum of 5 years of successful leadership experience within a school environment, including 3 years of administrative experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to meet people with ease; ability to write and edit effectively and efficiently to a wide range of audiences
Ability to communicate the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and/or authority
Good organizational skills, well disciplined, able to meet deadlines, self-starter, able to work under the pressure of many priorities and deadlines
Ability to work effectively with volunteers; knowledge of curriculum strategies and techniques
Knowledge of long-range planning processes
