King Aerospace needed a People Department Manager to lead the HR staff. They needed a person they could entrust with coordinating all day-to-day administrative HR activities that allow the team to function. They hoped to find someone who could set a positive employee-focused tone of servant leadership.

 

To operate in demanding special-missions aviation environments, King Aerospace needs personnel who are both excellent at the job and committed to the mission. The team values servant leadership, integrity, and a problem-solving approach to serving their customers.

Solution

With this vacancy, and a simultaneous need for an Executive Assistant, the team at King Aerospace decided they could best fulfill their mission if they filled these roles with the right people, and quickly. In order to do this, they partnered with the team at Vanderbloemen. 

 

The team met Eric Albert, an Executive Search Consultant. Eric got to know the team, including their founder and president. He learned that the unicorn candidate to aim for would be an evangelical believer who is determined to live out their faith in all that they do. This person would ideally have a background in human resources so that, once being hired, they could jump in actively from the start.

 

Emily Hernandez-Basquez, the Senior Executive Search Recruiter at Vanderbloemen, began searching through the candidate pool for qualified candidates, and she identified a slew of faith-driven people for King Aerospace to consider. As the team examined the candidates, one stood out as a first choice.

After a round of interviews and meeting Mr. King himself, Rana Payne happily accepted the role. Rana carries expertise unique to her HR background, which she was excited to apply to a faith-centered organization.

 

Rana had already begun moving from San Antonio to Dallas, as her husband was relocated for his work – training pilots. With moving already set in motion, she was able to begin working with the team at King Aerospace promptly.

 

In the end, King Aerospace was successfully staffed with both a People Department Manager and an Executive Assistant, allowing the team to focus on quality and efficient service.
