The mission of New Hope Worship Center in Grovetown, Georgia, is to reach those far from God and to lead people to their next steps in a God-first life. Part of that mission includes leading church members in worship that draws them to God and motivates those next steps. This is why, when New Hope was in need of a worship pastor that could match the cultural DNA of their church, they came to Vanderbloemen. After a comprehensive search, New Hope Worship Center was able to hire Joshua Rosenbohm, whose skills could meet the needs of the church while fitting in with the culture.
In looking for someone to fill this role, New Hope needed someone with the skillset to steward the worship ministry and mobilize volunteers, as well as work alongside the Student Pastor and Children’s Pastor to train and facilitate worship teams. This position required creativity, collaborative leadership skills, and a genuine heart for worship that fosters spiritual connection to God within the congregation.
This is what ultimately made Josh a perfect fit. Not only does he have the skills to lead worship well, but he has the drive and ability to coach teams and foster worship talent within others. He is skilled in adapting to the needs of a church, a team, or an individual as needs change over time. His familiarity with worship software and audio engineering, along with his extensive skills in guitar, drums, vocals, and music composition, set him apart from other candidates. But ultimately, Josh was what we at Vanderbloemen call a “tissue match”- a cultural fit who can healthily be grafted into a church body.
Executive Search Consultant Jennifer Winge shared her thoughts on this search, saying "I have known Pastor Reagan and his wife Joy at New Hope for many years. Finding not only the right competency fit but the right culture fit was extremely important. When I connected with Josh, I knew he was certainly an amazing worship leader but above that, I knew Reagan and the congregants at New Hope would connect with him. His heart, personality, and passion were an obvious fit."
Josh and his wife Audria, are excited to be moving from Colorado to their new home church in Georgia along with their daughter and twin boys. Working alongside New Hope Worship Center has been an honor and we cannot see what this church body is able to accomplish for the Kingdom in this new season.
