What does Ring the Bell mean? At Vanderbloemen, we want to celebrate as a team every time we have the honor of helping a church, school, or organization find their perfect candidate to fill a gap in their team and further their ministry. To do that, we have a bell on the wall in our Vanderbloemen office, within hearing distance of the entire team. Every time a candidate is placed, the team members who worked on that search ring the bell so that our team can celebrate!
Ring the bell! New Hope First Baptist Church has found their new Pastor of Discipleship.
The mission of New Hope is to help people discover and grow in the life-changing relationship found in Jesus. The role of a discipleship pastor is key to helping achieve their ultimate vision of making disciples. As they began to seek someone who would lead people and staff to accomplish the purpose and vision of New Hope, it became clear that this was a critical search. They needed someone whose skill set would benefit the church but also a person who could fit into the culture and mission.
As we uncovered the DNA of New Hope and their mission to make disciples, we knew what we were looking for. As we talked to Leonard Prater about his history working with churches and his passion for creating disciples, we realized he was a clear fit for New Hope. Since graduating from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he has spent 20 plus years working for churches. He has most recently been at Champion Forest Baptist Church since 2014 and served in the roles of Family Life Pastor and Associate Pastor of Adults. His administrative experience along with his love for discipleship is what New Hope was looking for.
โWe are proud to have assisted Leonard in answering his call on becoming the new Pastor of Discipleship at New Hope Church. His leadership, charisma, and team-building skills will allow him to truly flourish in this role,โ shared Executive Search Recruiter, Rishard Bournes.
Leonard and his wife Denna have been married for over 20 years and are loving the Cedar Park area. They have 3 children high school and college-aged and have served as a foster family over the years. The New Hope community is over thrilled to see how the Prater family will fit into the vision and we are so grateful to work alongside them in this new season of leadership.
