Mariners Church Hires Kyle Costello As Lead Pastor of Huntington Beach Campus

Mariners Church Huntington Beach is a son church of Mariners Church in Irvine, California. Mariners Church is a 50+ year old non-denominational church with a history of planting churches in and around Orange County. In spite of 63 churches in the area, 54% of the population is unchurched; which means over 100,000 people in our community need to meet Jesus.  Mariners sees God moving in amazing ways and Mariners HB is primed for a new leader with a passion to reach the community of Huntington Beach and beyond, to inspire people to follow Jesus and fearlessly change the world.

The Lead Pastor of Huntington Beach search came eight months after Vanderbloemen helped the church name Eric Geiger as their new Senior Pastor. 

Kyle comes to Mariners from the Missio Dei Community in Salt Lake City as Lead Pastor. In addition to planting Missio Dei Community as a church plant in his home and growing it from 30 people to two locations and 500 attendees, he also brings a collective 14 years of experience to his new role, as a pastor, church planter, biblical teacher, and entrepreneurial leader.

In his role as Lead Pastor of Huntington Beach, he will provide primary spiritual, visionary, and strategic leadership to Mariners Church Huntington Beach, through his new role as primary Teaching Pastor and leader of the staff and congregation of Mariners Church Huntington Beach.
