Hope Lake Country Church Hires Groups Pastor

OCONOMOWOC, WISCONSIN - Hope Lake Country Church - Oconomowoc, Wisconsin has expanded its leadership team by appointing Zach Thwaits as their new Groups Director/Pastor. Since 2002, Hope Church has been dedicated to its mission of changing lives and changing eternities because they truly believe that the hope of Christ changes everything. Hope has been a portable church for the past 19 years, but as Zach begins his new position on staff, the church body will also begin a new chapter as they start hosting church in their brand new building in September 2021.

Zach is very passionate about groups ministry and this position is a great match for his skill set. He believes that groups are a place to journey through life together by asking honest questions, praying together, learning about Jesus, bearing one another's burdens, and sharing joys and struggles in the context of a safe community. Zach enjoys shepherding people and connecting with leaders to encourage, pray, coach, and give perspective. He has an M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from United Theological Seminary. He has spent his career leading ministries across the country from Chattanooga, Tennessee to San Francisco, California in multiple staff capacities of leadership.

He has over 15 years of ministry experience and will be a great asset for Hope Church as they continue to build up the kingdom. Zach’s wife of 12 years, Meghan, and 3 children are eager to take on this opportunity and make the move to Wisconsin. They love to host people in their home, have good friends from all walks of life, and love being outside.
