RENTON, Washington – Highlands Community Church has expanded its leadership team with a key hire, with Kerry Warren stepping in to serve as their new Executive Director of Operations. Kerry joins Highlands Community Church after previously serving as Executive Pastor of Operations at Northshore Community Church in Kirkland, Washington.
Highlands Community Church, a Bible church located in a suburb just southeast of Seattle, serves more than 2,000 attendees each week.
Vanderbloemen, serving clients with a greater purpose, including churches, schools, nonprofits, family offices, and values-based businesses, loves the whole church and is honored to have partnered with Highlands on this search—as well as several others in recent years—for this vital and important hire.
“Highlands Community Church is at such an exciting place in the Pacific Northwest! As they continue to grow and expand their reach for the Kingdom, Kerry is able to come in and help build the systems and processes needed for the next steps of growth. It was great for us to be able to partner with Highlands again,” Eric Albert, Executive Search Consultant at Vanderbloemen, said.
Kerry, in addition to extensive ministry leadership experience, also brings business world experience to his new role at Highlands, including working at Boeing.
“We've had the joy of watching Highland's ministry grow and flourish over the last few years and this particular search was very exciting to be a part of,” Sarah Robins, Vice President of Sales and Client Relations, said. “In 2018 we partnered with them in their Senior Pastor search, which led them to Jesse Campbell, so this was our first search to work with Jesse in the Lead Chair.”
Started in 1946, Highlands is a non-denominational, multi-generational, family Bible church that is helping people find and follow Jesus by bringing the hope and healing of the gospel to our broken world. As a church, they are committed to ministering to the entire family, and in all ministries, the goal is to communicate that Jesus Christ is the only answer for the deepest needs.
