Sunridge Community Church is a non-denominational Christian church in Temecula, CA that is committed to helping people find and follow Jesus. The church is filled with genuine people who have a “come as you are” attitude.

Founded in 1988 by six couples, Sunridge has flourished in a community marked by rapid growth and vibrant change. Today, Sunridge is healthy, but not perfect! They are a church where it’s OK to not be OK. They remain committed to their mission and are grateful to God for how he has used this church to touch The Valley with the gospel.

About the High School Pastor:

Sunridge Community Church is searching for a High School Pastor who will be responsible for ministry to the high school students.

The High School Pastor's Responsibilities Include: 

• Mentor and lead high students into an authentic relationship with Jesus

• Recruit, equip, and develop adult volunteers in high school ministry

• Create a team spirit with adult volunteers 

• Hold a minimum of one mid-week and one Sunday morning student gathering with an explicit and defined strategy for each (For 4th Sundays, students will be encouraged to gather in the main service or serve)

• Plan and implement regular events for students to connect, have fun, and invite their friends

• Hang out with students and support their extra-curricular activities

• Partner with parents in shared values, with an emphasis on adolescent development

• Prepare students for lifelong discipleship to and with Christ  after high school

• Cooperate with other staff.

• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Undergraduate degree, required

• 2+ years of ministry experience

• Agrees to support Sunridge's beliefs, core values, mission, and vision

• Maintains a Christian witness and good reputation in the community

• Enjoys being with high school students

• Possess or working toward an appropriate degree

• Gifted at engaging others in ministry

• Relevant communication skills

• Ability to plan and administrate

• Responds well to coaching and guidance from the supervisor

• Seeks growth and personal development
