The early days of Golden's Point Christian Church go back to the mid 1800s, when 24 individuals organized and met in the Golden's Point Schoolhouse. While that schoolhouse still exists as a residence today, the church continued to grow and a new church was built. Later, a new building was constructed where Golden's Point Christian Church is located today.
Over the years and as the congregation continued to grow, renovations and new facilities were added. GPC was historically a Disciples of Christ congregation until the 1980s when the congregation became independent. Today, GPC is an intergenerational church with many families that come from the surrounding areas. Activities and ministries abound at GPC and there is a true spirit of community, outreach, service, and worship!
