The Role: Children's Pastor

Meet First Baptist Church Wichita Falls:

The First Baptist Church was started in 1883, when Rev. H. M. Burroughs moved from Henrietta and together with eight other people started First Baptist Church.

FBC, W.F. began expanding their Sunday morning worship offerings with the addition of a Contemporary Worship service in August, 2005. Through the years, other programs were added to further reach the community including Upward Sports and a revitalized Youth Ministry.

Under the leadership of the current pastor, Dr. Bob McCartney, two satellite campuses were formed. In 2010, The Church at Sheppard was launched with the aim to reach and minister to people in and around Sheppard Air Force Base. Not long after that, the West Campus was born and has grown into two worship services.

Pastor Bob has led the church to a greatly enhanced outreach to Midwestern State University. Our Missions outreach has extended beyond its former scope to now include work in St. Kitts and Romania as well as church planting in Utah.

First Baptist Church has been blessed with gifted pastors, staff, and members in these last 100-plus years.
