The Role: Youth Pastor
The Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston (CBCGB) is a nondenominational evangelical Christian church serving the Chinese and English speaking community in the Greater Boston area. Principally located in Lexington, MA with a satellite Chinese speaking congregation in Boston near Boston University, CBCGB currently has an average attendance of 600 in the Chinese congregation, an additional 200 in the Boston satellite (City Outreach Ministry), 200 in Cross Bridge (the English ministry), 100 in the youth ministry and over 100 in the children’s ministry.
About the Youth Pastor:
The Youth Pastor is responsible for creating, managing, and executing all facets of the Youth Ministry discipleship process for students and their families, trusting the Bible as the source of all truth and knowing that life is better together.
Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry strategy aligned with CBCGB's vision.
Lead engaging weekly youth group meetings with relevant Bible study and activities.
Mentor and disciple students, providing pastoral care and guidance.
Plan and lead impactful youth retreats, mission trips, and service projects.
Build strong relationships with parents and families through meetings and events.
Oversee a team of youth leaders and volunteers.
The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Youth Pastor:
Education & Experience
Experience with strategic planning and student ministry
Track record of developing other leaders and youth counselors
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree from seminary preferred
3+ years of experience in a Youth Ministry
